Where it Began…
Ten years ago, a student who enjoyed a good time decided to host a picnic for a few friends at the Durban July. The small gathering was named the Pink Punter and the inaugural event proved to be a massive success. The event slowly evolved into something worthy of cult status and in 2008 the Durban July organisers decided to ban the now substantial group, citing capacity and general rowdiness as the reason. The Pink Punter was then forced to find a new venue and the concept of experiencing the Durban July in Johannesburg was born.

The 2010 event saw a capacity crowd of 1,800 enjoy the racing festivities and we welcome you all to join us in 2011 at the Wanderers Club for a day of fun and excitement.
